The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVAC jobs for the majority of residential and commercial customers. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians install, maintain and repair indoor air quality systems, such as air conditioners. This may include performing warranty services and emergency repairs. This may also include assisting with customers' queries.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience making repair and replace decisions.
• Ability to acquire low voltage license.
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles.
• Operate scissors and genie lifts in a safe manner.
• Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices.
• Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.

The experienced HVAC Service Manager leads HVAC employees to service, maintain, and repair the clients' HVAC systems. As an HVAC Service Manager, you must routinely collaborate closely with service technicians, dispatch workers, and other supervisors to ensure customer loyalty while achieving departmental objectives and goals. Managers will often communicate directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to provide accurate information on job or project status and needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage HVAC maintenance and service teams to ensure quality onsite
• Schedules, directs, and provides technical support for HVAC technicians.
• Understand the sales criteria and hold your team accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
• Reviews technicians' work to ensure quality meets established standards
• Organize training and ongoing support for install teams
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains HVAC technicians as required to meet workload demands.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements
• Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations

Requirements

• 5+ years of successful management experience
• 2+ years of training in HVAC or other service industries
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Pass a drug and background check
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
• Reliable and self-motivated

Pay Range:

• $90,480 - $98,800

As an HVAC Installation Manager, you oversee the installation processes on our jobs. You are the one who ultimately ensures that every job is done correctly and efficiently. Using your efficient planning and organizational skills, you schedule in-home energy audits and coordinate financing and permits. You also measure, order, and coordinate the ductwork for the installations. With close attention to detail, you verify sales measurements for accuracy and make modifications as necessary. You manage the team, making sure that there is the appropriate number of people on each project to get the job done. You take responsibility for your team and hold them accountable to our standards, while making sure we do the highest quality job possible. You are the last stop for making sure we can execute our installations and are flexible in working with management to give you guidance. Pay Range:

• $86,840 - $96,720

Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for making sure all jobs scheduled for the day have all material and equipment pulled and staged for installers.
• List return material when necessary and return to stock.
• Drop off items all over the area
• Responsible for all materials, supplies, etc. that leave the shop have been properly filled out on a material sheet.
• Check and put away stock orders.
• Maintain a shop and yard in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Assist Installers in loading and unloading vans.
• Put away any deliveries, mark equipment received with job name and number, stage in the appropriate area
• Perform monthly inventory count.
• Pick up all garbage from the warehouse, yard, and on building grounds.
• Maintain a facility in proper operating condition.
• Put away all extra materials brought back by installers the day before.
• Maintain warehousing of Company supplied tools. Generate check-out lists and reconcile upon return.
• Lock up the building and yard.
• Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring “more than satisfied customers.”
• Additional duties as assigned.
